PCS works with an outstanding computer eduction company called Beyond Technology to teach real-world skills in graphics, internet, and several Microsoft products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. It all comes together for our 7th graders in a project called CEO Challenge, when they create a mock company - including budgets, business plans, presentations and advertising. Eighth graders work online to produce the Yearbook and learn video editing.
Technology doesn’t end in the computer lab. Students may eventually work in the sanctuary on video projection, theatrical lighting and sound engineering for productions or chapel services. The Jr High offers a “Worship Technology” class which trains students further in these areas.
“Smart” classrooms throughout campus are equipped with internet, video projects and sound systems. Teachers also benefit from Beyond Technology with professional development.
